Bees & Beehives

Easily!

Bees can make you uncomfortable in your home.
Let us help you breathe easy again.

Reasons why you should get help with your bee problem:

  • A bee sting can be very painful and even harmful to yourself, your children and even your pets.
  • When beehives are built in a house’s structure, they are often hard to reach and can even cause damage to the home.
  • Bees are important to keep in the environment. We can remove the whole colony and relocate it, so that they can be a benefit to us, rather than a bother.

Nest Pest Control Can Help You!

Bees are becoming more and more scarce. Nest Pest Control makes sure to do our part in helping the environment. Pollinating bees are removed rather than destroyed, when possible. We understand that bees can be a nuisance, and even a threat to you. Using professionals to remove hives and treat the area so they won’t come back, will help you feel comfortable knowing that the problem was taken care of in the best way possible.

Our Experts Can Identify Pollinators

There are over 4,000 bee species in North America. Sometimes it can “bee” difficult to know if the insect is a bee, wasp, yellow jacket, or a hornet. Our experts at Nest Pest Control can identify the differences between a bee colony that can be helpful and a wasp’s, hornet’s or yellow-jacket’s nest which is better off being destroyed.

After we determine the type of pest you have, we can then come up with a plan to remove or exterminate the pest so that you and your family will be able to live comfortably again.

Bees Are Needed for Our Crops not Homes!

Over the past 20 years, we have come to appreciate what bees do for us. Bees pollinate our crops, flowers, and even trees so that we can live in a beautiful environment and have the food we need to survive. It is not always necessary to exterminate these creatures. We have found ways of being able to remove most beehives and safely move them to alternate locations that are beneficial to both humans and the bees.

If you have bees that are putting a “sting” to your party, call Nest Pest Control today. We have the right tools to get you living peacefully again.

      Did you know…

The Latin name for the common European honeybee is called an Apis mellifera. That is why a beekeeper is known as an Apiarist.

Apiarists can manage hundreds of colonies that they keep separated in individual bee boxes. The beekeepers then can send their bee boxes to different farmers around the area during pollination season. This not only helps the beekeepers get the honey they need to harvest, but it also helps our local farmer’s crops be successful. How cool is that?!

      FAQ

Do you have questions about bees, pest control or what we do? Here are a few answers to help you:

How long does it take for the beehive to be completely removed?

We set up an appointment to come and evaluate your situation. When we arrive, we then determine if you have bees or another type of flying insect.

Usually the process of removing the actual hive is done in a matter of a couple of hours.

After identifying it as a pollinating bee colony, we use smoke to sedate them. We can then carefully remove the hive, with the queen inside. We then transport the hive to a beekeeper who helps them start a new colony. Sometimes the attempt to relocate the hive is unsuccessful and we may have to destroy the bees. However, we will make sure that your home is bee free and we spray a repellant to insure that it stays that way.
