  • There is burning, itching and/or a rash on your skin from no discernable reason.

  • Look for bed bug fecal stains on sheets, mattresses and sofas & chairs.

Bed Bug Extermination by Nest Services is the Solution!

Bed bugs are vile creatures but very good at surviving. They can go weeks, even months, without a meal and still revive. Ew.

But Nest Pest Control are really good at hunting these parasites down and destroying them so you can ged a good night’s rest again. It all starts with a comprehensive inspection of your home. We start where you are noticing the bed bugs and then search out other areas where they might be.

If we find them we report that to you. If not, we tell you that as well.

After we determine where they are. we create a plan to destroy them. This involves all sorts of tactics. You see, you cannot just spray and expect it to kill every bed bug. Indeed, usually just the nits are eliminated, but they reproduce prolicially, so you need other solutions.

For instance, we often gather them together, on a mattress, for instance, wrap it up and then roast the bed bug population to death. That way, we control them.

After that, we continue our abatement treatment and follow up with you to determine that they are all destroyed.

      Did you know…

The most common species of bed bugs in human homes is Cimex lectularis. They love human blood and it sustains them. However there are many species related to these bed bugs, including one that feeds on bats. Often, you will discover a bat infestation because of these bugs invading your home. Although each species (and many more in the world) have a preferred animal to feed from, most will choose whatever blood is convenient.

      FAQ

A lot of people have questions about bed bugs, pest control and our company. Here are a few that you might have:

Can my dog smell for bed bugs?

Your dog probably smells them if you have an infestation, but needs to be trained on how to alert you of these creatures.

If you have a bad enough infestation, you can even smell them. Bed bugs release a pheromone scent that smells a lot like coriander. In previous centuries, they were often called coriander bugs. However, an odd smell isn’t enough to determine an infestation and often the smells they have are nearly undetectable except by trained dogs.

We are expert bed bug exterminators and so we can inspect and determine the extent of infestation a lot easier than the lay person. So call Nest Pest Control in Houston to help you get back to breathing easy.

Do bed bugs make you sick?
Unless you are allergic, you are unlikely to get sick from a bed bug bite. They typically don’t carry pathogens, at least, none have been empirically proven. Here is a good article about bed bugs possibly spreading disease.

Regardless if they can or not, these creatures need to be eliminated from our homes. They create a significant burden on our economy (imagine not being able to sit well after a bed bug feeding frenzy on you. It’s hard to get work done!) They also just make people’s lives miserable.

So call us to eliminate the problem from your life!
